Who
We Are:
New
Life Christian School is a long-established,
independent, non-denominational Christian school
(K-12) whose mission it is to participate in the
raising up of a holy nation that is
academically, spiritually, socially, and
emotionally prepared for service in the Kingdom of
our Lord, Jesus.

Our
Roots:
The
birth of
New
Life
Christian
School
was on September 4,1979, at
Trinity
United
Methodist Church
in Olean, New York. NLCS was created by a group of parents who
recognized the need for a K-12 Christian
educational institution, which emphasized
academic excellence along with an unwavering
commitment to Biblical Principles. In 1983, the
school was moved to its present location in Franklinville,
NY. In April of 2007, the school began the
process of purchasing
the former North
Hill
School building in Olean,
NY. New Life hopes to open at
this new site in Olean in September of 2007.

Our
Philosophical Perspective:
Our philosophy might be likened to
a doubled-edged sword; one side is an imperative
to elicit the best in scholarship possible from
each student, not just to fill heads with facts,
but to teach the skills of thinking, reasoning,
and communication—both in spoken and in
written word—which are increasingly becoming
obsolete in our generation.
The other edge, by God’s command, is to
participate in the raising up of a holy nation
for service in the kingdom of our Lord Jesus.
At times, people of faith have been quick
to use their rite of separation as an excuse for
educational mediocrity, often in conflict with
public institutions.
Ours is a faith that demands virtually
the opposite view.
We recognize and embrace
the doctrine of separation, yet our calling is
clearly to the highest standards of
excellence—that each student utilize his or
her talents and have opportunity and patient instruction
to achieve that end.

Tuition: For
the 2008-2009 school year, tuition is set at
$1,400 per student. Families with more
than one child attending pay $1,200 for the
second child and $1,000 for each additional
child. For example, a family with four
children would pay $1,400 for the first child,
$1,200 for the second and $1,000 each for the third
and fourth child.
